The Partnership is funded by the Welsh Assembly
Government under the Communities First programme
and aims to improve the environment of the people
living in Deri. We meet every 6 weeks and discuss ways
in which the area can be changed for the better and
find ways to get funding for any projects that are
identified.
The Partnership is made up of community members, representatives from local groups, Caerphilly CBC officers and officers from organisations such as the Police, Local Health Board and Rhymney College. We are always looking for new volunteers so if you have a small amount of time to spare and would like to have a say on what happens in your community then let us know!! If you are interested please contact Sean Rees, the Communities First Coordinator, on 01443 878095 or at reessc@caerphilly.gov.uk
The Partnership are also looking for members of the community to come forward with ideas for new projects, so if there is anything that you or your group would like to see happening in Deri and Groesfaen (e.g. giving up smoking group, exercise class, environmental improvements, or even a dog training class!) please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’d love to hear your ideas!Executive Committee
