Groundwork Caerphilly, The Darren Valley Ramblers
and Local Health Board have been working with Deri
and Groesfaen Partnership to create a series of
Walking Leaflets in and around the Deri and
Groesfaen area.
The first walking leaflet is close tofinal print, and
consists of an hour walk in the woodland of Deri, taking in beautiful scenery and
existing Deri and Groesfaen Partnership projects such as the 'Stairway to Deri',
which Groundwork Caerphilly and the Darren Valley Ramblers created
re-establishing Right of Way No. 54. Other leaflets are also planned for the near
future including a historic walk and a Pen Garnbugail Walk so watch this space!

Young people fromthe Darren Valley have created a
fantastic two-minute animation that highlights the
effects of binge drinking.
The young people attended the Media4Communities
base in Cardiff, where they wrote a script, complied a
storyboard and drew a series of cartoon images. The images were then uploaded
onto the computer and sequenced to create a running film. The young people then
recorded the script and added this to the images to create the final animation.
