Communities First Youth Workers
We’re Joanne and Debra! We work for a project called the HUB. Our role is to get young people involved in their community and have a say. If you want to know what’s going on in Deri or want information, you can contact us on 01443 863081.
Youth Sub-Group
A warm welcome awaits you at Deri Youth Sub Group.
The group meets every two months to discuss issues that affect young people in their community. At the meetings the young people also discuss what they would like do in
their area and suggestions are put forward for youth projects. If you are between the
ages of 11 and 25 years and would like to become involved or would simply like to
know about the youth sub group please contact us.
Youth Club
Caerphilly Youth Service provides a youth club in Deri. Youth Club currently runs from
The Community Centre on a Monday and Thurday evenings between 5.30pm and 8pm. There are a variety of activities on offer including pool, darts, arts & craft, workshops and trips. Entry is 20p and all young people aged 11 yrs – 25yrs are welcome.
Your Rights
The Welsh Assembly Government believes that every young person who lives in Wales
is equal and should have the same rights. They have identified things that they think will enable young people to make informed choices and make the most of opportunities. These things are called entitlements, things which young people have the right to
receive.
